Digital Natives Vs Digital Immigrants

Prensky divides todays' world into the 'Digital Natives' - the young people who were born and raised in the digital world; and 'Digital Immigrants' - people like us who were born in the pre digital countryside and immigrate to the digital world later!

In this sense, applying for this webskills course is like applying for immigration to the tech world!

If you're interested in learning more about the digital natives, go to Digital Natives!

  1. Hi Rashid,

I went through this article a couple of months ago, it is worth reading. In fact I will read it again. I have cited it in one of the blog posts. It is always good to keep searching for citations and reference material since they authenticate our point of view. Thanks for being generous in sharing valuable reading stuff to us.

  2. Hello Muhammad,

When I read your "About Me" I had to smile. I, too, am a connoisseur of chaos--although sometimes I'm not that happy about it. Change, with its accompanying chaos seems to follow at my heels.

Well done on your blog and posts!

  6. Dear Rashid,
I have been interested in Prensky`s Digital Natives and Immigrants for more than a year and last year I did a project with my students in high school to see what students think about us, teachers, whether they consider us natives or immigrants. I will attach the film on my blog, If you are interested to see it.
